Certified Security Operations Manager
The Certified Security Operations Manager accreditation program is intended for those with 1-3 years of security management experience who want to upgrade their knowledge and skills, as they take on additional responsibilities in their professional development to move to an operational role. This CSOM accreditation is applicable to security professionals at all levels of the security management field.
The CSOM measures the professional’s knowledge of security management fundamentals, business operations, risk management, emergency response management.
Who should get this certification: Operations Managers, In-house Security Managers, Security Officers from SS and above.
Admission requirements: The candidate must demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in security operations. Security officers of SS and above who are looking to become operations managers should consider applying for the CSOM certification. The Board may prescribe attendance at a compulsory course as part of the admission requirements.
CPD Requirements: 10 points (6 for renewal). The Board may prescribe attendance at a compulsory course as part of the renewal requirements.
Examples of CPD: Security consultancy, security technology, security management, legal and other requirements, general management, ISO standards.
